The international conference centre of the University of Ibadan will on the first of October, 2020 host the maiden edition of the Lecture and award confernment on distinguished young personality in leadership and governance through philanthropy with the theme, "The role of Youth in Governance and Leadership in a Post COVID-19 World"
The event, an initiative of the  Shake Global Economic Empowerment and Social Initiatives is geared towards redefining youthful leadership in a post covid 19 world.
Each year, the Shake Global Economic Empowerment and Social Initiatives offers awards to exceptional young achievers across business, politics, entrepreneurship, academia and the business world with a view to through them empower more youths to be the best in their chosen field of endeavour and together build a nation and a world where everyone is a champion.
As the COVID-19 Pandemic and Global Health Emergency continues to spread at various rates around the globe, it becomes more important than ever for us to collaborate and come together to redefine leadership and governance in making sure that we conform with the new normal as seen all over the world.
The purpose of this event is to also discuss how we can bring together the global digital health community to collaborate and engage in the prioritization, adoption and acceleration of digital health technologies for a better governance.
Expected at the event are selected young leaders across all the States of the south west as participants while among others to be honoured with the conferment of the award are the Honourable member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency at the Federal house of representative, Tajudeen Adefisoye also known as Small Alhaji, Engr. Segun Adebiyi, a frontline business man with interest in building and road construction, the Senior Special Assistant to the honourable minister of Interior, Amb. Com. Ishola Olateju Olorungbebe, the deputy chief of staff to the governor of Ekiti state, Mr Tolu Ibitola, the secretary to  Somolu local government of Lagos State, Mr Taiwo Adesanya, Hon. Olumide Aderinokun among other young personalities in governance and business circle.
The Head of Faculty Purple Training & Consulting and Faculty, LAUTECH Business School Dr Kuro John Ngoboh will deliver the lecture at the event.
