HON. OLUWOLE OKE; RELEASE OUR SON AND CONFESS YOUR INIQUITIES
We the undersigned vehemently condemn the unlawful arrest and illegal detention of *Bayo Olatunde Ogboro* who happens to be a core supporter of Youths Advocacy and Ijebu-Jesa Solidarity Vanguard by a team of officers from the Nigeria Police and supervised by political boys of *Hon. Oluwole Oke*; the despotic representative of Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency on Friday, 4 May, 2018 morning.
Olatunde Bayo Ogboro was arrested under the draconial order of Oluwole Oke and he has been placed under detention for further interrogation by Nigeria Police. It is our belief as a group that the unlawful arrest and illegal detention of Olatunde Bayo Ogboro is politically motivated as a measure of clamping down critics and grassroots mobilisers who wants to end the unfruitful legislation representation of Hon. Oluwole Oke through electorates education.
It has also been brought to our notice that a pseudo facebook account was created by some social media bullies named Bayo Olatunde and it was boldly written on this facebook pseudo account that Hon. Oluwole Oke and his boys plotted and killed someone during the last election. In as much as we demand for explanation from Hon. Oluwole Oke as a group on the status believed to be updated by his boys to create unnecessary tension and fear for Bayo Olatunde Ogboro as a group; there is a need to make it known to the entire public most importantly the good people of Ijebu-Jesa that we've had records of increasing threats and attacks against constituents or groups who stood against the 4th time agenda of Hon. Oluwole Oke.
We may not agree as a group with the tactics of Bayo Olatunde Ogboro of expressing his views on matters but it is our belief as a group that he has the legitimate right to express his views which we believe to be fundamental. However we are deeply concerned with the treatment meted towards him which seems to be a result of position against the 4th time agenda of Hon. Oluwole Oke and the unfruitful legislation representation. Whilst we recognize the responsibility of the State to investigate issues and actions, we wish to highlight the lack of fair and due process on the part of the State in the unlawful arrest and detention of Bayo Olatunde Ogboro. Given the context and the charges, it would seem that Bayo Olatunde Ogboro charges are politically motivated.
As we demand for the immediate release of Bayo Olatunde Ogboro who happens to be a member of our group, we seek the intervention of the entire public and concerned authorities to look into this matter and never allow oppression and intimidation to prevail and also it is necessary to inform the public that as a group we are tired of having representative for 12years who could not move any meaningful motions or have a bill to his credits. It's barbaric and ridicules our sensibilities as a people.
